Moonstar has been making vulcanized rubber footwear since 1873 with utilitarian designs made to withstand rain, snow, and mud. Built to last using a heavyweight canvas upper and an encapsulating vulcanized rubber sole.

The shoes are constructed using the ancient "Ka-ryu" technique, which fires the outsoles in a kiln at 240°F to create a stronger and more durable shoe after extensive wear.
